Biography

Paula Ann DiGianivittorio, has been recognized as a soprano with a unique and vibrant vocal color. She has been performing, entertaining audiences in concert, opera, and orchestral performances. She has graced the stage in honor of political dignitaries, public forums, and made guest appearances at formal events. Paula made her debut as a Concerto Soloist with the New Jersey Symphony, at the age of 20, in a Patriotic Music concert. A select few, from her accolades include; first place in the Mario Lanza Competition and the Yasansky-Murrowany ‘best’ vocalist award for three consecutive years. In addition, she was awarded a vocal apprentice position with the Chautauqua Opera Company. In the Rowan Symphony soloist competition, Paula won first place and performed Operatic aria favorites. Her most recent orchestra performance was Mahler’s 2nd., with the Philharmonic of Southern New Jersey.  Ms. DiGianivittorio maintains a private studio; teaching voice; pedagogy sciences and coaching professional singers, for national stages in all levels of performance, while encompassing theater arts and coaching. She is certified in Vocal Pedagogy by Dr. Leland Calder-Harvard University, Music, Special Education in Music and holds her Supervisory Certificate (Graduate program), for administration, and higher education. Paula has produced and performs a variety of shows, inviting guests from all areas of Music; Broadway, Opera and Orchestra. Paula is also the proud owner of Bella Canta Productions, LLC. She is a certified Music Educator-Director and has worked in this field for over 29 years. Currently, she holds a full-time position as a Music Educator-Choral Director, and vocal studio clinician for voice. Many of her students have pursued musical-professional careers in Vocal Performance, Musical Theater, and Music Education; attending prestigious conservatories-universities for Music and performing for Equity Theaters in Philadelphia and New York. Paula is also pursuing her interest in voice-over, for animation, while continuing post-secondary teaching and Master Clinician for Voice. She is also a public speaker; an Advocate for the Arts, while expanding clinical work as a Vocal Pedagogy Specialist. Other accomplishments include executive positions as Music Director for the Diocese of Camden, mentoring educators for school districts, in Philadelphia and New Jersey, while educating, directing, writing curriculum and supervising programs for the endowment of the arts. Paula has also won talent competitions in State pageants. She also modeled and instructed for John Robert Powers in Philadelphia and New York City. Paula has earned an MM in Opera Performance from Rowan University (Barbara Dever), MAT accreditation, along with a double bachelor’s degree from the University of the Arts; in Vocal Performance. Vocal instruction from Paula Brown- (Curtis, Philadelphia), vocal coach, Gary Magby-(Franz Liszt Academy of Music, Budapest), and in Music Education(neuroscience) with Special Ed(K-12). During her attendance at University of the Arts she also worked with Todd Duncan (Metropolitan Opera), and with Billy Joel, a master clinician for piano and composition.
