Ways of White Folks, published in 1934, is often considered the pinnacle work of the celebrated novelist and poet, Langston Hughes.  This short story cycle presents 14 powerful portraits of race relations during the Harlem Renaissance Era, looking at the humorous and tragic interactions of black and white people in America. In this world premiere theatrical staging, the audience is immersed in Hughes’ worlds. You are invited to Tohill Theater for a seminar on Finding Joy through the experience of “Afro-American Culture”. Then your guide will take you on a tour of Bunce Hall where you will be invited into the private experiences of each character.  An unforgettable theatrical event. (110)
