Refund & Absence Policies
- Please read carefully before registering. By completing Registration you agree to the following policies. Questions or concerns should be expressed to the Rowan Community Music School Lesson Coordinator or Program Manager prior to the start of lessons or any other Rowan CMS programming.

Your lesson day and time is only reserved for the length of time (Fall 2024 Semester, Spring 2025, Summer 2025 or the full school year) in which you make payment for the faculty selected at the time of payment. It is required to configure all scheduling details (lesson dates and times) prior to registration and payment as no refunds or credits will be issued if a faculty is not able to accommodate a student's change in schedule need throughout a semester or year.
- All lessons paid for within a specific semester and/or full year are required to be used within the paid semester or full year. No lessons may be rolled over to or taken in any future semester or year.
- All withdrawals must be submitted in writing/email to the Rowan Community Music School Lesson Coordinator and Program Manager at least two lessons in advance. Tuition will only be refunded on a pro-rated basis, less transaction fees and limited to a maximum of 7 lessons.
- Full lesson tuition minus transaction fees will be refunded only if student notifies the Rowan Community Music School Program Manager and Lesson Coordinator at least 48 hours before the first lesson takes place.
- Registration fees are non-refundable.
- Rowan Community Music School requires all potential students to inquire about a trial lesson prior to registration and payment.
- Trial and Individual lessons are non-refundable.
- Cell phone numbers and email addresses are required to be exchanged prior to the first lesson.
- If the student is tarty with or without notice, no time is required to be 'made up' by the instructor.
- If the student is tarty or absent for any lesson the student is required to contact the instructor directly (calls or text) asap regarding the matter. The Rowan CMS staff can also be notified however, the instructor is required to be notified.
- If the instructor cancels a lesson, or Rowan is closed due to inclement weather:
- These lessons will be rescheduled at the convenience of both the instructor and the student.
- If the student cancels the lesson:
- Absences are only considered excused if the teacher and Rowan Community Music School office is notified 24 hours before the lesson.
- Students are allowed one excused absence per semester.
- The make-up lesson for one excused absence will be rescheduled at the convenience of the instructor.
- An excused absence not made up within the following semester will be forfeited.
- If the make-up lesson is cancelled by the student, the lesson shall be considered made up.
- Rowan Community Music School does not allow lesson tuition to roll over into future semesters. All lessons paid for must be completed within the given semester.
- Unexcused absences will not be made up.
- An absence cannot be reversed even if a student attends past the start time of the regularly scheduled lesson.
- All students are required to provide a notification to their teacher for an absence. and once notified, no change can be made.
