MainStage Productions

Each academic year, the Department of Theatre & Dance produces five, full-scale MainStage productions, providing numervous performance and design opportunities for students. Productions exemplify the department's core values as artistic practioners and offer essential opportunities for students to practice and physical research contemporary performance. 

2024-2025 MainStage Season 

The Tempest by Shakespere -- November 1-3 & 6, 2024
Directed by Ross Beschler & Paule Turner 

Come Together devised by the company -- December 5-9, 2024 
Directed by Christopher Roche & Leslie Elkins 

Almost, Maine by John Cariani -- February 20-23 & February 27 through March 2 
Directed by Elizabeth Hostetter 

The Music Man -- April 3-6, 2025 
Directed by Lane Savadove 

 

Season Colloquium - September 4 
All directors, choreographers and designers will briefly present the season's shows at an options special "Season Colloquim." This will precede the auditions and include a Q&A about the audition process. Audition information below. 

2024 Audition Information

2024-2025 MainStage Auditions

September 5 from 5:30-10PM 
September 6 from 2-10PM
Tohill Theater 

Callbacks - September 7 & 8 (time/place TBD) 

Students will audition for the entire season's shows in a single audition process. While auditions take place over two (2) days, performrs need only attend ONE of the two auditions days. 

Requirements: Students will sign up for a time slot to present a monologue and song. Each time slot will also have a movement call, let by Dance faculty. Photos will be taken at the auditions. No headshots or resumes required.  

  • Present a 60-90 second monologue from a play
  • Present a selection of a song 32 bars in length that best shows your voice.
    • Music may be in any style
    • Sheet music must be printed, in a binder, and will be played by a provided accompanist

Feedback will note be available following general auditions. Feedback following callbacks will be at the discretion of the individual directors and/or choreographers.
