Kevin Hanson has enjoyed great success in his career as a bandleader, recording and tourist artist, songwriter, and musical director for groups ranging from rock, RnB, jazz, and Latin music. He has toured extensively throughout the US and worldwide with an array of artists, and has recorded as a guitarist, singer, and songwriter on hundreds of records. Kevin is the featured guitarist in the major motion picture releases Dave Chappelle’s Block Party and Jay-Z’s Fade To Black documentaries. He performs regularly with his original band, The Fractals, and performs with The Philly Pops and dozens of rock, RnB, jazz, and Latin bands in the Philadelphia area.

As a professor for almost two decades, Kevin has shared his expertise with students and faculty at The University of the Arts, Temple University, Swarthmore College, and Rowan University. Kevin has taught courses in songwriting, music theory, music history, ensemble instruction, improvisation, private guitar and songwriting instruction.
