Biography

Hester S. Hasheian is an active performer and music educator for over twenty-seven years.  She received her Bachelor’s degree in Music Education from Glassboro State College  (Rowan University), and went on to obtain her Master’s Degree at Indiana University in Bloomington, Indiana.

She has taught both in public schools and as a private studio teacher in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Michigan.

Hester has recently returned home from Michigan where she lead an active performing life, working in such ensembles as the Saginaw-Bay Symphony, Midland Symphony, Oakland Symphony, Rochester Symphony, Birmingham-Bloomfield Symphony, and the Motor City Symphony Orchestras, and since returning home has worked with the Reading Symphony and the South Jersey Pops Orchestra as guest concertmaster in December.

Additionally, Ms. Hasheian is an active performer in the Popular/Americana music genres having performed in backing orchestras at the Detroit Fox Theatre with Aretha Franklin, Sarah Brightman, Il Divo, Amy Grant, Michael W. Smith, and even Regis Philbin.

She has also been an active fiddler and vocalist with several bands in the Metro Detroit area such as: 

Bill Bynum & Co., The Joey Vee Band, Diesel County, Redhill, and Steeltraxx.
