Biography

Tony Moreira is an experienced professional in the music business. He has worked in this area for more than 20 years doing outstanding projects in Brazil and USA.

In Brazil, he worked in the renowned recording studio Banda Sonora with the Grammy award-winning conductor and producer Ruria Duprat in major advertisement projects such as McDonalds, Red Bull, Brazilian Banks (Banco do Brasil and Caixa Economica Federal), Coca-Cola, Pfizer, Mattel Toys, French Vehicles (Citroen and Peugeot), Nissan Vehicles, and Nestlé. In the U.S. he was the main composer and producer of the Soundplanet Advertisement Studio located in Denver, Colorado. His works in this studio includes Kia Vehicles, Floyds Barber Shop, Egg and I Breakfast and Lunch, Rooter Town, Golden Spike Roofing, Breeze Thru Car Wash, and Down Digital Marketing.

As a side musician he performed and recorded with national and international artists such as Maffalda Minozzi, Negritude Jr., Raça Negra, Rick e Renner, Gal Costa, Isidro Aybar, New York Voices, Katie Mackey, Gregg Bisonnette, Steve Turré, Dave Pietro and Ingrid Jensen.

As an educator he taught music at Laramie County Community College and has been teaching Music Theory and Music Technology at the University of Kansas since 2013. As an Art Music composer he recently had his Marimba piece “Maracafofo” premiered in Taiwan. Also his Jazz Album “Dear Friend” will be released in May.
