Biography

Marilyn Rabbai received a Master of Arts degree in Piano Performance from The College of New Jersey, and a Bachelor of Arts in Music and English from Rowan University. She received the Meritorious Achievement Award from the American College Theater Festival for her musical accompaniment and direction in a Rowan production of The Fabulous Fable Factory, under the direction of the playwright, Dr. Joseph Robinette. In 2006, she was honored to be the recipient of a Gloucester County Outstanding Teacher award for her work with middle school choirs and general music classes in the West Deptford, NJ school district. She has worked extensively as a collaborative pianist and has served as accompanist for All South Jersey Junior and Senior High School Choruses numerous times.  Ms. Rabbai holds the Colleague Certification from the American Guild of Organists and serves as director of music for the First Presbyterian Church of Pitman, NJ. She and her husband, trumpeter George Rabbai, can be heard on the soundtrack of Baseball, a film by Ken Burns, broadcast nationally on PBS. When she is not teaching or practicing, she likes to bike, read, cook, and travel.
