Biography

Izzy is a graduate from Rowan University with a Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance. She also holds a Master's Degree of Vocal Performance and Pedagogy from Westminster Choir College. At Rowan University and Westminster Choir College, she performed in multiple choral ensembles, as well as Opera's. Previous roles she sung are: Musetta in Puccini's La Bohème, Despina in Mozart's Così fan tutte, Adelaide in Dove's The Enchanted Pig, Gretel in Humperdinck's Hänsel und Gretel, Mag in Wargo's Ballymore and the title role of Cendrillon in Viardot's Cendrillon. Izzy has also performed as a soprano soloist in Faure's Requiem, Mozart's Missa Brevis, Kvhoshchinsky's Bogoroditse Devo, Mendelssohn's St. Paul Oratorio, and Copland's In the Beginning

Izzy has placed in NATS vocal competitions. In the summer of 2021, she attended the CoOPERAtive program at Westminster Choir College and attended Opera Viva! in Verona, Italy in summer of 2022. She has studied with pedagogue and author Lauren Athey-Janka in her undergraduate and graduate studies. 

Izzy seeks to build a safe and nurturing environment where students can create meaningful and artistic experiences. She believes that music lessons should be fun, encouraging, and a process of discovery. Her approach incorporates the positive encouragement for her students to express themselves through this music outlet.
