Biography

Debra Wiggins has been a pianist and music educator for over twenty years.  She has experience teaching traditional piano lessons in both her private studio in South Jersey as well as the community school setting of Westminster Conservatory in Central Jersey.  Debra earned a two-year Certificate in Piano Pedagogy from Westminster Choir College of Rider University.  Her students range in age from Kindergarten to adult.  Students participate in Festivals, Competitions and regional performance events at venues such as the Academy of Music, Kimmel Center Campus in Philadelphia, as well as Columbia University and Weill Recital Hall in New York City.

Debra also supports student achievement through the internationally standardized ABRSM exams in areas of Practical, Performance and Music Theory.  Debra maintains membership in local, state and national professional music teaching organizations and holds the credential NCTM, National Certified Teacher of Music.  Debra is committed to continued skill building through attendance at seminars, webinars, lectures, and Master classes by nationally recognized clinicians.  Her greatest inspiration are her students and the witnessing of their personal and musical growth after each recital.
