Biography

Michael Worden is an accomplished music industry professional with over 20 years experience in business affairs, licensing, and royalties management. He currently serves as the Head of Business Affairs at Rebellion Records, where he leads negotiations and execution of recording, publishing, distribution, and licensing agreements in both domestic and international markets. At Rebellion, he oversees major artist signings, joint ventures, and strategic label partnerships, while managing rights administration, contract workflows, and advising on deal structures for new business initiatives and catalog acquisitions.

Previously, Michael spent more than a decade as the Manager of Business Affairs at Alfred Music Publishing, where he played a pivotal role in the administration of licensing agreements for prestigious music catalogs, including those of ABKCO, Warner-Chappell, and Warner Bros. Discovery. His expertise includes the negotiation and execution of print, mechanical, and synchronization licenses, as well as live performance rights coordination. In addition to these roles, Michael has served as a Music Supervisor and Composer at Clear Music since 2014, overseeing music supervision for film, theater, and podcasts. His work includes synchronization and master clearance, recording coordination, and financial management for music projects.

Michael Worden holds an M.B.A. from Rutgers University, an M.A. from Union Institute & University, and a Bachelor of Arts in Music from Oneonta State University.

Beyond his music business career, Michael has an extensive performance background in film, television, and theater. His screen credits include Drive-Away Dolls directed by Ethan Coen, FBI, Law & Order: SVU, The Equalizer, and numerous national commercials. On stage, he has performed in the national touring productions of Footloose and Into the Woods, as well as regional theater across Los Angeles and New York.
