Christopher Shin

Christopher Shin is a fourteen-year-old pianist from Cherry Hill, New Jersey. He began studying the piano at the age of six, and currently studies with Prof. Veda Zuponcic of Rowan University.

During his young musical career, Christopher has been awarded a number of prizes at various piano competitions, including the First Place Winner at the 2019 MTNA/NJ Junior Performance Competition; First Prize in the 2018 West Chester University Piano Competition; First Place in the 2019 GMP International Young Talents Competition; and Gold Prize in the 2019 Young Pianist Competition of New Jersey. Most recently, he has been advanced to participate in the prestigious 2020 Gina Bachauer Junior International Piano Competition as one of the 24 quarterfinalists, competing in Salt Lake City in June 2020. Most recently in February 2020, Christopher performed the 3rd movement of Chopin Concerto No.2 in f minor at the Weill Recital Hall of Carnegie Hall with the GMP All Star Orchestra.
