Biography

Debbie curates and develops audiences for the Marie Rader Presenting Series at Rowan University. Since 2006 she has collaborated with artists, writers, community leaders, and educators to produce live performances and cultural events throughout the Philadelphia and Southern New Jersey region. Partners have included Pig Iron Theatre Company, Nichole Canuso Dance Company, the Hello Arts Festival, ThINKingDANCE.net, White Pines Productions, 1812 Productions, Leah Stein Dance Company, Lightning Rod Special, The Bearded Ladies Cabaret, VSBA Architects & Planners, Team Sunshine Performance Corporation, ZoomDance, and David Gordon/Pickup Performance Co(s). From 2008-2012, she was Managing Director for Headlong Dance Theater, where, in collaboration with Headlong’s Artistic Directors, she produced numerous Philadelphia Live Arts (now FringeArts) Festival premieres and national tours. She helped to establish and oversee the Headlong Performance Institute, a professional training program in contemporary performance for college students, where she co-facilitated a weekly seminar on building a meaningful and sustainable life as an artist.
