Biography

Emily Valentino is a resident of Medford, NJ who is currently pursuing a degree at Rowan University in music education. She currently studies saxophone under Dr. Noa Even and has previously studied under Valentin Kovalev. 

At Rowan, she performs saxophone in many ensembles including the wind ensemble, saxophone quartet, and saxophone ensemble. She also performed tenor saxophone with Rowan University’s Symphony Orchestra in Fall 2024. In January 2024 and 2025, Emily was invited to play in Fairfax, Virginia for the annual Navy Band International Saxophone Symposium as a member of the Rowan Saxophone Quartet and she was invited to perform a solo performance in March 2025 at Penn State for the North American Saxophone Alliance conference (NASA). She has had many additional solo and quartet performances previously and since then and has performed on masterclasses for various professional saxophonists. She began playing piano and saxophone at a young age, and has played both while attending Rowan. 

Currently, Emily teaches piano and saxophone in Medford, NJ and at the Rowan Community Music School. She is also a Rowan Summer Band Camp counselor.
