Biography

George Vanderbilt is a Jazz Guitarist based out of Southern New Jersey with over 20 years of experience as a musician. George received a B.A in Music and his Masters in Jazz Studies from Rowan University. George has studied with some of the best guitarists in the music business such as Brian Betz, Tom Giacabetti, Chris Buono, Joe Federico, Gustavo Assis Brasil, Vic Juris, and Jonathan Kreisberg.

As a performer, George plays jazz, rock, blues, pop and funk in different settings, such as weddings, restaurants, recording sessions, and at corporate events. George performs as a soloist, with his jazz trio, and with Grace Note String Ensembles throughout the Tri-state area.

George is also an educator with 15 years of experience teaching guitar, ukulele, music theory and improvisation. He also has experience teaching through virtual platforms such as Skype and Zoom. Some of George’s students have been excepted into prestigious music schools around the country such as Rutgers University, University of North Texas, and Berklee College of Music. George is passionate about sharing his love of music.
